Initial Checks

When deploying a monitoring system, it is important to remember that 70% of the configuration is done on your network equipment. This includes the preparations such as collecting the required credentials. Here is a list of initial preparations to help with an optimal deployment.

1. Ensure BLËSK is on a network from which we have « ping » access to as many devices as possible.

2. Create additional firewall rules and routes that will allow us to reach isolated segment (if necessary).

3. Prepare a list of all identifiers (WMI, SNMP, SSH, Telnet, etc…) and collect the required credentials.
